Business in Substantial Decline - Management Lacks Understand and Direction
Audit Manager (Former Employee) – Corporate Office, Irvine, CA – August 3, 2016
I worked in the Audit and Finance Departments. The hours are very long as the departments are significantly understaffed. The pay is very poor, probably in the bottom 10-20% of the pay scale for most positions. The company has lost major customers recently and is in significant decline, that will continue over the next several years. They have lost substantial market share to new competition from Under Armor. The company will probably offer no raises or bonuses for the next 3-4 years due to its performance. The corporate office is strongly rumored to be moving to Boston, MA in the next couple of years. Management in Administration and HR tend to have very elitist attitudes in my opinion creating a poor overall culture. So in conclusion if your looking for low pay, long hours, lack of job security, no bonuses or raises in the foreseeable future this is the place for you. The benefits are average, 2 weeks vacation, 6 days sick, an onsite gym and an okay product discount of 50%. I left because of the low pay, poor moral and lack of opportunity for upward mobility. The company is run and operated like a typical Japanese Company. There is strong racial bias in my experience against non-Japanese.
