The Aspen Sleep Center, a 4 bed lab located in Bandana Square, has an opening for an experienced Lab Manager.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sleep Laboratory Manager, in conjunction with Lakeland management, is responsible for day-to-day management, supervision, and staffing of the sleep laboratory.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:

Assure that sleep studies are scored and interpreted in a timely manner

Assists in day-to-day clinical operations, including scoring and patient testing.

Maintains and supervises data management, including archiving of patient data and maintenance of the PSG logbook.

Acts as central contact person for all technical issues within the sleep laboratory.

Oversees, reviews, and develops testing protocols, policies and procedures.

Maintains and troubleshoots all monitoring equipment utilized at the sleep laboratory.

Performs materials management by maintaining an inventory of lab supplies.

Set-up CPAP equipment for patients as needed and complete all paperwork related to this task as stated in all CPAP related policies and procedures.

Assist patients with CPAP related problems as needed.

Oversight and management of Polysomnographic Technologists to assure appropriate application and use of recording, monitoring, and treatment procedures.

Supervises scheduling and work assignments of technical staff, thereby ensuring the efficient use of resources and timely completion of tasks.

Be able to perform all duties of a Sleep Lab Technologist. When necessary, this individual will be expected to fill night shifts, although they will be the last resort.

Assist in the development and monitoring of Lakeland’s quality assurance/improvement program.

Communicate regularly with the Medical Director to assure that the lab maintains adequate standards.

Contribute to the Accreditation Team in the process of achieving and maintaining lab accreditation.

Under guidance of the Medical Director, makes decisions about the type of equipment and supplies to use in the sleep center.

Assist in the development and maintenance of facility policy and procedures.

With guidance from the Medical Director and other Management Staff at Lakeland Health Services, provide leadership for future direction of the sleep center.

Assist in the maintenance of facility compliance.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Minimum of 3 years of experience.

Registry in Polysomnography (RPSGT).

Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification.

Attention to detail with strong organizational and communication skills.

Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
