High pressure, always asking for more
Nurse Practitioner (Current Employee) –  TexasJuly 21, 2017
This is a rapid growth newer company that has a wonderful mission on the surface, but the leadership team only focuses on growth and profit. Local management could not get any better, but upper leadership is constantly finding ways to ask everyone to do more and more and more without respecting what is even manageable. My fellow NPs are incredible people doing the most amazing work. The take care of patients like family. Work life balance is the worst I've ever experienced. A part time or PRN NP position would be fine, you would be outside of these issues, but as a full time team member in ANY POSITION (my CSS friends and directors agree) you will constantly be asked to put your life and family 2nd. Disappointing.
Pros
Remote work environment, working with great NPs
Cons
terrible work life balance and terrible benefits

Nice job for independent contractors
Registered Nurse (Former Employee) –  2040 NE coachmen rdJuly 11, 2017
Nice people, if you are planning working as a private contractor, keep nursing skill at high level and computer skills. Did not know job was private contractor job until employed - payroll issues are not addressed by company Aspire but third party and difficult at best to contact to inform of descrimpancy .
Pros
Keeps nursing skills at top level
Cons
Work is case dependent not always enough work for all staff

Behavior Technician (Current Employee) –  Orlando, FLJuly 4, 2017
Working at aspire health has taught me how to deal with people with issues such as drugs, alcohol and mental. I find my job to be very rewarding when a resident is connected with their friends and family. It also warms my heart to see residents find stable housing and jobs.
Pros
the ability to help you fellow man
Cons
pay sucks

Good place to work - actually get to take time with patients. Paperwork is minimal. Expectations can be a little confusing in the beginning but gets better with time. Hang in there, you'll be glad you did.
Pros
Good pay

Just Don't .
RN (Former Employee) –  Nashville, TNJune 1, 2017
Staff was generally amazing and worked really hard. The company, culture, and expectations drained people's souls.
The patients were precious and the encounters with them priceless... but the drive of the company made it really hard to keep integrity in the work.
Cons
Long hours, not patient centered

Paving the way in Palliative Care
Provider Relations (Current Employee) –  OhioMay 31, 2017
Aspire is truly improving quality of life for patients! The culture is to do the right thing for the right patient at the right time for the right reasons. It's an exciting time to work in a brand new market space that is making healthcare more sustainable, while at the same time improving patient quality of life.

The best part of the job is learning new skills. The hardest part is there's not enough hours in the day to educate healthcare providers on the benefits of referring to Aspire.

Leadership is all about supporting the field staff-- hiring and retaining the best and brightest.
Pros
Learning new skils. Truly helping patients.
Cons
Must be flexible to roll with process improvements.

Growing Company
Patient Care Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Nashville, TNMay 31, 2017
This is a new growing company that focuses on palliative care. The work environment is laid back but set up like a call center; they like to refer to it as a "Care Center". More diversity is needed in management to keep a positive light on people with different racial backgrounds and the company thriving.

Meaningful startup with lots of opportunity for professional growth.
Clinical Director (Current Employee) –  Houston, TXMay 29, 2017
Management is quick to assist staff in developing their strengths and promote from within. The work is meaningful, and they respect your time with your family when off. Call requirement is minimal compared to other NP jobs. Highly recommend.
Pros
Opportunity for promotion, work/life balance, understanding management.

Great concept, management needs work
RN (Current Employee) –  Nashville, TNApril 10, 2017
The mission of Aspire is great.I truly believe in what we do. However like most of the other reviews management is lacking and it is all about numbers. As a nurse working here, it should be more about patient care and not the percentage of how quickly we answer calls. The work like balance is terrible and most days you work past the time you are supposed to be off. I have been here for a good little while and have seen a lot of change. Its not the worst job I've ever had but it is far from the best. A lot of co-workers will stab you in the back so you have to be careful with who you think your friends are. If you do get a job here just keep your guard up. Also the location of the office is pretty terrible. We are in the heart of downtown, so traffic is a pain.
Pros
Great Mission

Office location, management, benefits, work life balance

Not a lot of support
Advanced Practice Provider (Former Employee) –  Pittsburgh, PAMarch 23, 2017
Environment and procedures constantly changing, minimal support from management. Newer company that is growing, this makes for constant change and not enough support.
Pros
Pay is good.

Stay Away
Nurse Practitioner (Current Employee) –  undisclosedMarch 5, 2017
No lunches. No raises. No appreciation. Leadership acts like they listen but give only lip service. Only 3 weeks of PTO. 45 hour work week. On-call is dreadful- expect approx 40 calls per on-call shift. Up all night on call then expected to work the next day. They don't care. Support staff so overworked, they can't follow through.
Pros
The other NPs

pay, benefits, Pto, on-call

Don't do it!
Nurse Practitioner (Former Employee) –  Pittsburgh, PAFebruary 27, 2017
The company has a great mission. They bring you in with promises of flexible scheduling and patient centered care. This is not the case. Their bottom line is numbers! The goal is to save insurance companies money... not providing good care. If you don't meet their unrealistic quotas, you are singled out in a biweekly meeting. I have never worked with a more unprofessional group of people.
Pros
Extended visit times
Cons
Expensive benefits, Long work hours

Growing Company with a Vision
Nurse Practitioner (Current Employee) –  Pittsburgh, PAFebruary 17, 2017
I have been with Aspire Health for over 8 months, and it has been a good experience. The company is growing and like with any company that is new, and doubling in size has growing pains. The people work hard for the mission to help patients, and family's' during a critical time in life.

You will learn a lot in a short period of time.

Growing, Innovative, Smart

Current Employee (Current Employee) –  Nashville-Davidson, TNJanuary 31, 2017
The compensation is great. Concerned about numbers. Uneducated, Unprofessional Environment. What is America coming to when an employee, fresh out of rehab is placed in a position of leadership? If you're educated, do not apply at Aspire Health. If you have a degree, you will be interrogated by those without a degree who are utterly intimidated.

Not For Me
Corporate (Current Employee) –  Nashville, TNJuly 28, 2016
I have to say that the idea for what Aspire does is awesome, and most of the employees who work here do seem to buy into the work they are doing. However, as with most start ups, the communication and operations hasn't quite caught up with the growth. This would be fine if the environment was one of encouragement and friendliness. Most of the employees in the corporate office work 50+ hours in the office then are expected to be plugged in all night as well. The fear and stress felt throughout the whole office is almost palpable. I've actually witnessed management make a few coworkers cry. I would not recommend working here if a positive work environment is something that is important to you. Especially since so much of your time will be spent in the office.
Pros
Salary, company mission
Cons
PTO policy, work-life balance, environment
