Assembla.com is launching an agile product that takes teams and entire companies beyond scrum to continuous delivery. It combines ticketing and task management with modern edge code management, code review, and deployment. We seek an enthusiastic and versatile individual to take charge of the whole product delivery process handling both the high level and detail aspects. The candidate should have experience writing and designing quality stories, user personas, user scenarios, sketches, and markups. The ideal candidates will be knowledgeable of agile methodologies, even an agile enthusiast, and will have experience with various source code management and ticketing tools. We need someone with a record of successfully creating products with great usability and design.

Job Requirements:

  • Understanding of what makes a great feature
  • Ability to synthesize high level information and handle details
  • Enthusiastic and opinionated about agile methodologies, tools and process
  • Ability to stand up to sharp developers, answer questions and resolve debates
  • Training or experience writing and designing quality stories, user personas, user scenarios, and mockups
  • Understanding of what makes a good story
  • Love for versatile responsibilities
  • Experience with SVN, Git, Perforce and ticketing tools
  • Very helpful: experience with continuous delivery
  • Comfortable working with global development teams (open source, outsourced, or distributed)

Assembla agile is a great product at a nice stage -- startup, yet without seed stage craziness. This is a full time job. We prefer to hire someone who can work with senior staff in the Boston area. If you are located somewhere else, we will find a way to work together closely. We will negotiate a competitive salary, options, and compensation package.

Please post a resume and short summary about your skills and prior experience that you feel are relevant to this position. We will respond to selected candidates to set up a phone or Skype interview. Ideally, we will start by working together on a project.
