The ASM&WA Director of Community Partnerships will be responsible for building and maintaining interest in the ASM&WA mission and vision among area service organizations, churches, and businesses, with a strong emphasis on service:
*Build and manage relationships with area businesses, churches, and service organizations:
*Provide monthly updates regarding Christian growth opportunities at ASM&WA
*Foster collaboration in the areas of education and service
*Oversee the Faith-in-Action apprenticeship program
*Recruit mentorship sites
*Implement mentor development and training
*Ensure appropriate student placement
*Maintain appropriate communications between mentors, students, and ASM&WA faculty throughout each semester
*Manage mentor appreciation efforts
*Oversee community partners’ involvement in the yearly ServeAthens ICN event as well as other future events to be determined keeping God’s glory as the focus
*Recruit participation from among area churches, service organizations, and businesses
*Plan, organize, and communicate with area organizations regarding the details of their involvement
*Manage appreciation efforts with participating organizations
*Oversee the ServeAthens ICN model by working with the proliferation of that model to other parts of the country.
*Manage team leaders who plan and host Serve ICN weekends in other sites
*Document the Serve ICN model and share it with other Christian colleges and organizations as a way to perpetuate the model in a larger sphere of influence.
*Lead/Participate in monthly ASM&WA Advocacy Council Meetings
Note: Candidate must raise own support for the position.
*Very strong Christian spiritual maturity.
*A sincere interest in furthering the ASM&WA mission and supporting the ASM&WA Belief Statement.
*Excellent organizational and planning skills, including attention to detail and the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
*Excellent interpersonal skills that demonstrate confidence around leaders, students, community members, and in meeting situations.
*Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to prepare and present accurate and appropriate presentations and documentation.
*A resourceful and collaborative nature that can manage and work well with multiple constituencies.
*Attention to detail, an organized work style and an achieving mindset.
*Technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and ability to use internet technologies.
