HR/Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) – Hampton, GA – October 10, 2012
Daily tasks consisted of compiling daily production reports, tracking hourly employee attendance, sorting incomming and outgoing mail, greeting plant guests and providing safety equipment, answering multi-line phone system and checking general voicemail, ordering office and breakroom supplies, comparing payroll and benefits pay registers with recent changes to employee information and conducting audits to ensure employee elections are accurate, processing benefit changes for hourly employees based on life changes and requests (401K and tax contributions), providing information to employees regarding benefits, coordinating bereavement arrangements when needed. Management was a supportive and knowledgeable team that collaborated with HR and supervisors in many aspects of daily functions. Co-workers were well-versed in their individual talents and were willing to coordinate whenever necessary. The hardest part of the job primarily consisted of disecting the various Summary Plan Descriptions for Union Hourly employees to ensure accurate understanding of coverages. The most enjoyable part of the job consisted of working directly with employees to ensure that they have a correct understanding of both plant policies and procedures, benefits coverages and terms, and being able to increase my personal knowledge base of HR best practice implementations and procedures.
