ATOS has a policy of hiring from Mexico to fill positions in the United States. They were months behind on major projects and I was put in a bad position at a client site from the start. Daily escalations of the outstanding projects left unattended for 4 months prior to my hire. Management continued to switch the focus on projects, making decisions affecting the client's images without notification to the client.
The talent still working for ATOS at MFS is solid, with good peer relations
In jepordy of losing a 10 million dollar contract, management created an extremely high stress environment, by constantly changing priority and focus to a point of hindering productivity.
I worked here during college and for the most part had no issues. The work place is less structured than I would have liked and the training was not as comprehensive as would be desired. That being said the management was wonderful and understanding.

It did not matter how hard you worked or what you knew. No room for promotion or advancement. Management was highly unprofessional. Management only seemed to care about earning their bonus and making their numbers, they did not have any employees best interests at heart. No compensation for pager and consistently expected to have more responsibility.

Although working remotely was an option, ATOS seemed to be in the throes of a massive reorganization after purchasing Xerox's ITO. The transition was not handled well. ATOS also requires new business goals and personal goals to be accomplished on a 6 month timeframe with failure to do so counting towards your overall job performance. Although some of the downside was not completely on ATOS. For instance, it was Xerox culture that separate towers need not feel obligated to fully interface with each other even when working on the same project. This culture did not change once ATOS bought out Xerox ITO. There was also no indication from ATOS that layoffs would be initiated once the purchase was complete. It was also indicated that remote workers would potentially have to begin commuting to an ATOS workplace if it was within 50 miles of one's location. However, this was unsettled at my time of layoff.

Work itself was good, but the Manager made it really stressful to get anything done, he would send numerous of emails and things to in the middle of the day and expect you to get everything done by COB. and his word counted. So you couldn't say anything. Not a fair manager to work for. Two thumbs down.......

Was told I was getting some "help" due to how busy I was. Instead, ended up training my replacement! Terrible management. Expected to work unbelievable hours with offshore personnel who don't care. Offshore personnel will leave in the middle of an outage which caused a great deal of re-explaining.
had in debt internship of the job description daily. basically got experience on RDBMS directly linked with the company. had to integrate with other colleagues (French speakers) in the environment which was quite challenging but interesting.

While some change is good my experience has been that change for the sake of change rarely is. Management is constantly changing things just so they can say they have. As far as job security mgmt is constantly threatening people with termination to enforce what that manager considers is the thing needed to be done, while other managers are doing the same for different tasks. Current manning is at approximately 50% for each of the towers resulting in 50-55hr work weeks average for the last 1.5 years. The only real benefits I see in the job are a regular paycheck and work-from-home.

This place advertised great starting wages, however upon getting paychecks, they failed to pay most employees on time. Upon asking management for help, they would make excuses and say we should "do it right" next time. Some coworkers were very unprofessional and like to cause social issues in the workplace. The training for what employees should have known was very outdated and inaccurate. They paid well, when we did get paid. I liked the pay, but that is about it.

The company's been growing a lot due to acquisitions which have turned it into a huge mix of work cultures. Different silos in a company makes hard to manage integral solutions and provide a good service to the client.
