Animator, Minneapolis, MN - March 23, 2017
This was a great job while it lasted. We made successful video content, and did it within a tight timeline. A typical day included either rough animation pass, polished animation pass, or revisions for final review. I learned my way around Adobe After Effects and Toonboom. My co-workers were fantastic, and we really grew together working on these projects. Unfortunately, most of our positions were eliminated with the 2017 budget, as they chose to double-down on religious paper publishing. The hardest part of the job was solving problems on the fly (due to lack of time for R&D). The most enjoyable was creating character-based content in house, an increasingly rare opportunity, which only got less common with recent developments.
