Job Work/Life Balance
banquet server (Former Employee) – augusta marriott – April 28, 2014
Extremely RACIST. They look at servers as the "help" they do not appreciate your hardest work. You can work 12 hour shifts with no break. Even though they tell you, you get two fifteen minute breaks without clocking out and one thirty with clocking out they want you to clock out for a ten minute break. They illegally change your hours. They will clock you out for an hour Break you didn't take so they don't get in trouble. Too many managers that don't know what they are doing. Horrible favoritism. Just an overall bad job. Don't apply. Wi be reporting them to the labor board asap.
in sales (Former Employee) – augusta ga – April 29, 2013
Even though benefits were ok, working there was not satisfying. Management does not appreciate lower level employees. No opportunity for advancement. A lot of harassment, a lot of religious views pushed on you, etc.
Night Audit/3rd Shift Manager on Duty (Former Employee) – Augusta, GA – August 3, 2012
This job seems okay at first look, but the harder doesn't seem to matter due to the fact that no opportunity for advancement is offered when you don't have years invested even if you are qualified for the position. Had to constantly ask about annual review because I was looking for a pay raise. When I finally had my review about 5 months late, all good things expressed but no advancement or compensation for my "good work", explaining that the funds are not available but other material items such as flat screen tvs are still being purchased.
employee discount, downtime to do homework
employees not given proper compensation and advancement
