This was a very fulfilling career working with children.
Youth Care Advocate (Former Employee), Chicago, IL – April 1, 2013
Pros: helping under-priviledged youth
Cons: compensation package
My experience at Aunt Martha's was a mixed one. I enjoyed working with the teenagers and creating individual treatment plans, but the pay was horrific.

maybe ok for a new grad to gain experience - no long term potential
program supervisor (Former Employee), The Center - Danville, Il – March 8, 2013
Pros: opprotunities for new grads to gain experience
Cons: management, poor physical enviorment, unpaid overtime
My review only applies to the Danville Illinois branch known as "The Center" as I have noexperience with other locations.

The Center may be a good place to start right of college for a year or two's experience. It's no place to be long term

Pay is low to fair, and the demands are high. Benefits are ok if your're a single person and have no dependents.

Despite – more... the paltry compensation, the work enviorment is depressing many days. The facilities are not maintained well, and you will have to clean your own office \ work spaces.

Unemployment is a constant threat by management and supervisors. In order to avoid payment of unemployment benefits, staff are often pushed to the point they resign.

One clerical worker, recently recovering from cancer treatments, had her hour reduced to 1 hour less than required for benefits.

Another pitfall is unpaid overtime - you'll be asked to volunteer in other areas - cleaning, painting etc on your time off

If your job involves driving, your "milage" is your wage essentially – less

Lack of Adequate supplies
Upper management has all the Perks, while clinics are inadequately staffed and lack of everyday supplies.
Cut in staff and No Pay raises while Upper Management takes trips and has Paid Lunches.
Threats of job loss, when complaints of Heavy patient – more... loads and request load to be reduced.
Product suppliers will no longer ship due to Non payment.
Upper Management will NOT listen to Providers Concerns, Well, maybe they will pretend to listen but they NEVER FIX THE PROBLEM.
Upper Management Lack of Respect for OUR Clients – less
