very poor recruiters
lab tech (Former Employee), various – May 15, 2013
Pros: travel and workng in different areas
Cons: recruiter and pressure to take unwanted assignments
My account manager on my last assignment never answered her phone. Voicemails were not returned for days. I enjoyed the assignments I had but when there was a position in an area that I did not want I was pressured to take it. I verbally agreed then after I realized that it was very difficult to fly there I changed my mind. I was told I would not be – more... able to work there if I did not take the assignment. The contract was a month away and they made no effort to get someone else. I never signed the contract then they wanted to charge me for housing because they didn't find a replacement. – less

Transition in the work place
Certified Surgical Technologist (Current Employee), Omaha, NE – May 12, 2013
It has been a pleasure working with the Aureus Staff.
Their professionalism within their Management staff has allowed for a work and life balance within their placement service. Being able to balance this transition has been very important to myself and family.

Average until any problem arises
Histologist (Former Employee), Multiple assignments – March 28, 2013
Pros: job availability
Cons: everything else
This company is an average company and fine to work with UNTIL you have an issue. Real character shows in adversity. After a year of rave reviews I was betrayed by my recruiter when she sided with the hospital after I was given faulty equipment and asked to use it anyway. The hospital said I was a bad tech and Aureus sided with them. Again...this is – more... after a YEAR of rave reviews. Ethics is not Aureus' strong point. – less

Dishonest, Petty Company
Travel RN (Former Employee), US – March 22, 2013
Pros: none that i can think of
Cons: terrible, indifferent recruiters
I recently finished up a contract as a travel nurse with this company. My experience with them was anything but pleasant. My recruiter was NEVER available to take calls when problems came up, as a matter of fact the guy intentionally dodged calls. They have a terrible employee evaluation system - one that does not take in account what the doctors and – more... other professionals you work with have to say about you...if you happen to get sideways of your manager where you work, you're screwed, because that is the ONLY review that they will look at. As for dishonest, my recent contract was up in late February and they owed me the second half of my travel stipend, but didn't pay it...no explanation. I called and called and left messages with my (now ex) recruiter and he never returned my calls. If you're thinking of working for Aureus, RUN as fast as you can away!! – less

First traveling agency I've worked with...
STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICIAN (Current Employee), Omaha, NE – March 5, 2013
Pros: helpful as a first company to work with
Cons: poor management and unsatifactory customer service, pay and benefits
I have been happy to work with Aureus Medical to get my feet wet in the traveling industry. However, I have grown dissatisfied with the quality of their service.

resp. therapist (Former Employee), new york, california – December 14, 2012
Cons: many
don't be fooled by thinking anyone in this company actually cares about the traveler they are all about the money and none of the recruiters here can be trusted at all. it is quite obvious from my experiences with this company that it should be avoided at all cost unless you want get screwed over and over again

Very shady recruiters

Cons: lies
I was lied to over and over again by the rectuiter. I was placed in housing that was infested with bugs. Many other companies out there with much more integrity.

Good company to work for.............
Nuclear Medicine / Pet-Ct Technologist (Current Employee), Beatrice, NE., Anchorage, AK. – October 10, 2012
Pros: business practice, account managers........
As a Nuclear Medicine/PET-CT technologist, I can verify that Aureus Medical Group is a first-class company to work for. Although the pay-rate could be higher, I believe the current economy is affecting the rates hospitals are offering these agencies.

Any good reviews on here are probably from Aureus recruiters. They suck.
ICU Nurse (Former Employee), Omaha, NE – September 15, 2012
Pros: none above any of the other regular travel companies.
Cons: unethical
They got me jobs, but I was very unhappy with the service I received. Also they were very shady and lied to me about several things that I called them out on (mainly having to do with taxable stipend issues). I always felt like they tried to push me into certain jobs and not actually looking for jobs in the places I wanted to go. I know there is only – more... a certain number of jobs at any one time, but I felt I was lied to a lot. – less

anotherfakename – September 28, 2012

how long did you work for them? they actually called me today and left a message.. im a recent graduate looking for a travel xray tech job. could you recommend any better travel companies?

Shawnda – March 18, 2013

They put me in a hospital they sold me on and I received no orientation. Then the hospital cancelled my contract because they said it wasn't working out and had alot of false accusations. What do you expect when you put me in dangerous situations. team nursing. really what a joke one never talked to the other. They put me up in a hotel not housing. I should have known they were not committed. Don't use them
