Aurora is an evil, money focussed force. they treat their staff poorly with no respect for human dignity.
Cardiac Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (Former Employee), Aurora West Allis medical Center –
If you want to to work for someone who respects you as a human being, who honors your ideas and treats you well, DO NOT get a job with AURORA.

If quality patient care, spending time with your patients, doing what is right as a health care worker is your priority stay away from Aurora.
If making money and getting the public to believe that Aurora is" – more...  the one and only" then work at Aurora.

If you have worked for 30 to 40 years at the same Aurora facility, expect to be fired. You make too much money. Your expertise counts for nothing. They will fill your spot with an inexperienced person and pay them half of what you got. They do not care about quality patient care. They only care about MONEY. – less

There is better out there
Charge RN (Former Employee), Milwaukee, wi –
Pros: locations on almost every corner like walgreens
Cons: under-staffed, underpaid, over worked
I worked here for a short period five years ago. I would never work for them again. Too many managers, not enough floor help. They are not patient centered like they claim. Everything is about the bottom line, not the patients and especially not about the employees at all. They are also not open to employee suggestions. They force you to get flu shots – more...  or you are out of a job. Forget that. – less

Not much room for advancement. Very corporate. Not open for change or new ideas. Does have some perks.

Aurora Healthcare
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee), Milwaukee WI –
Pros: good benefits, special discounts for aurora employees, great training modules, friendly people, nice atmosphere to work around, many opportunites to grow, pay is good, nice raise every year, grounds are always shoveled and decent, great cleaning crew
Cons: short breaks, short lunches, dealing with some negative coworkers, amount of work stressful at times, horrible parking.
A great place to work! The money is very good, most people i work around and with are friendly and understanding. The supervisors and management in my department are great to work with. Aurora Healthcare has opened up many opportunities for many people, including me. Aurora cares about the patient, and working to help the patient has been a great experience. – more...  Being a Caregiver has been a good experience. – less
