Don't get Old or Innovative
Employee (Former Employee) – Wisconsin – August 10, 2016
Aurora used to be a career destination; has regressed to a stepping-stone organization.
If you're over 50 and not in management, your days are numbered.
One is ASKED to be innovative, but then again, not (don't rock the boat). Good-ol'-boys organizational pyramid is inverted: more VP's, managers and directors than actual employees performing the tasks to be accomplished. To remain relevant, each person, in ascending order, must change something within a project. By the time said project reaches the final rung, it no longer resembles the original goal.
Pulse Survey revealed 64% of the non-management employees in (what's remains of) our three departments are planning on leaving with a year.
Advice to Management
