Pros: flex time, good environment as long as stayed busy
Cons: the drive over 50miles but adjusted
the job I was in I really liked. coming out of another for over 30years and into a different environment and to some degree was able to make the adjustment. I would go back given to opportunity.

Good place to work.
Engineering Technical Assistant (Current Employee), Mobile, ALSeptember 14, 2014
Typical workload consists of multiple MBoMs to create and issue. Modifications to compile, obtain signature approvals from Program Engineers, and issue in MPE, then Bizflow.
Coworkers are typically friendly and helpful. I am treated, and treat others as a primary customer, whether they are onsite suppliers/customer, or peers and coworkers.
The most difficult part of the job is getting all of the programs to interface, which is also the most enjoyable and challenging.

Very unorganized approach to training. Expected employees to do more than required for the job and belittled employees for standing up for themselves.

Structural Fitter (Former Employee), Mobile, ALAugust 24, 2013
Hard work dedicated to the structure of Navy ships. Supervisors to provide assistance for employees lacking experience. Work was mostly conducted in teams which needed leadership and a positive atmosphere. Overall, It was a pleasant experience that I wouldn't trade anything for.

Outside Machinist (Former Employee), ALJuly 8, 2012
Pros: disorginization, confusion, favoritism
Cons: sad place.
You have all the staff members from another failing company which is Alantic marine or now call BAE. a typical starts 6AM report to your supervisor who does not know where u you go or what job you should be doing. Poor Quality work, waste tax payer money, need to fire all management and recuit from out of state, up north preferably or take notes from ingalls.
