About Austin Community College
It may not be the most well known school in Austin, Texas, but Austin Community College (ACC) does have its fans. ACC provides technical certificate programs (50 fields), associate's degrees (30 university transfer majors), and continuing education courses to central Texas students through six campuses. The school, which has an enrollment of more than 37,000 – more... students, also offers honors programs, college prep classes for high school students, and Tech-Prep courses that allow high school students to earn credits toward an ACC technical certificate. The school serves as a primary feeder for students transferring to the University of Texas, one of the nation's largest universities. ACC was founded in 1973.
