I would assist the craftsman learn what they would show me and teach me, install blinds & remove blinds suit up if required to, pull pumps rebuild check for specs reassemble pumps, install, check alignments, replace motors, did major overhauls, turnarounds, and some foundation work. worked well with others as a group got along with others even when – more... tempers would flare which was typical out there. the enjoyable part was every other friday was off. – less

Cons: contract work not always steady
Worked turnaround at NOVA chemicals and startup. Worked on Bentley 3300 systems on compressors and Instrument calibrations. Worked on Rosemount smart transmitters PH, Temperature, D/P, Pressure, Level, ABB analog transmitters, Fisher & Valtek Valves. Bailey DCS system. I spent most of my adult life working and prospering this company and because my tenure long and reached a pay rate that they would not accept my position was eliminated without any other possibility for employment.

A very fast pace job that had you going strong all day. Getting all timesheets and balancing them to the gate log. Inputting payroll in system daily, getting approval for time. Making folders for all employees and keeping them updated at all times. Management was great to work with as will as all co-workers. i started out as a temp to hire in a shutdown got hired on job title helper/laborer at 12.50 but I only work with millwrights and welders over time people left I got more responsibilities but no compensation for these extra responsibilities I am now timekeeper/lead men with out the title or pay I deal with the shop foramen Austin supervisor have asked – more... for transfers and nothing going on 4 years with nothing to show for it – less
