The Support Service Coordinator (Coordinator) position serves as a key staff assistant in the SUNY Old Westbury Auxiliary Services Corporation (ASC) office and to the ASC Executive Manager. The position is part-time working 20-25 hours per week.

The Coordinator performs basic revenue and expense reconciliations to the ASC’s Income Statements at the close of each period, and preparation of associated documents for Executive Manager’s approval. Coordinator Assists Executive Manager with preparation of industry analysis, activation of benchmarking activities, and drafting executive summaries of findings. Position is also responsible for document management of ASC’s files and records to include organization, annual archiving, and storage to ASC drives or designated data storage site; contract file maintenance includes periodic updates to the ASC’s Contract Matrix Summary; and providing support with Marketing and Advertising efforts to promote ASC partnerships by designing promotional tools, and planning and executing events to increase customer loyalty.

Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university; minimum one (1) year of progressive administrative or customer service experience; expert ability to work with Word, intermediate skills with Excel and PowerPoint; aptitude with numbers and analytical reconciliation skills for financial reports; general knowledge Accounting principles; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work well with internal and external customers of the campus community; knowledge and skills in social media such as Facebook and Twitter, and basic web page updating; creative ability with standard desktop publishing to generate advertising and marketing tools; good public speaking skills for large and small group presentations.

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Business from an accredited college or university; prior experience working within Student Affairs or Auxiliary Services in a similar role; knowledge of Public Relations, or Marketing; exposure to Robert Rules of Order and ability to record standard Minutes.
