As soon as I log in we go thru the handover, and see the new tickets that were created on the previous shift, any dispatches set up for the current day, issues on the network. We then prioritize what needs to be done first while monitoring the network, if there's a conference bridge call set up one of us takes care of that dispatch and the other agent updates tickets, monitors the network and takes calls. If there is an issue with the network we create a ticket and start troubleshooting the issue by verifying connectivity between the routers and switches, we also access the devices to check the performance such as RSL, SNR, Tx Power, Rx Power, and BER. We also check is traffic is impacted, we check the history and verify when and at what time the signal affected.
I've learned how to work as a team, learned how to access different devices such as eclipse radios, eband radios, siteboss, 3G routers, and fujitsu radios.
My co-workers are great, I've learned a lot from them.
Every two days I get with the TAC department and they've been teaching me how to configure the eclipse radios and upload software.
I love anything related to devices configuration and Aviat is a great company.
