Mathematics Tutor (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXJune 13, 2012
I got to tutor first-time college hopefuls and every student in the program passed the math TAKS for the first time in the school's program history. Every student had a C average or higher in Algebra I, also a first-time event in the school's program history.

Tutor for AVID students in Cherry creek school district
Tutor (Current Employee) –  AUrora, coloradoApril 3, 2012
My job as an AVID tutor is to Conduct tutorial sessions that underscore the principle of collaborative learning and the practice of students teaching other students through discussion of class and text notes.Work with students in any phase of the writing process, such as brainstorming, clustering, read arounds, revision, and editing.
Allow students to shoulder the responsibility for their own active learning while guiding them with strategies that they will become accustomed to using independently.
Evaluate student binders, including calendars, class and textbook notes, and learning logs. Assist in teaching study skills and other aspects of college preparation.
Pros
love the program
