Pros: Creative, lots of freedom, strong culture
Cons: No job security, high long-term costs, low ROI
As a company, Avon is most certainly a great organization. It cares about its employees, their development, their needs, and their goals. It collaborates heavily as long as you are active in your work and guarantees at least some form of backup from management.
Unfortunately, they fall short on job security because at any time you can quit and they often aren't required to let you come back even if the reason you quit is legitimate. No base pay, which meant everything you made was up to you and it meant everything required your own income separate from the job to supply all necessary job products.
Overall, the experience was enthusiastic and exciting, but required too much effort and freedom to make any sort of money. Perhaps I'm just not that kind of sales associate.
