Awake and Aware, LLC is a busy, holistically driven specialty agency using DBT ( Dialectical Behavior Therapy) to treat vulnerable populations struggling with mood and emotion dysregulation, chronic suicidality and self injury and trauma issues. We also work with dual diagnosis and EDO issues. We have a fully adherent Adolescent and Adult DBT program and an intensive EDO program using DBT is currently in development. We are interested in finding motivated, committed clinicians to join our team that have a passion for learning and delivering DBT. One position treats clients with EDO's aas a primary diagnosis and the other position specializes in DBT for adolescents and some adults. We offer incredible training opportunties both in and outside of agency to develop and nurture new clinicians and provide a holistic and fundamentally nurturing enviornment for our clinical team and our clients.
Provides and/or administers adherent Dialectical Behavior Therapy through both individual and group settings, which includes weekly participation on the DBT consultation team, provision of coaching calls and co-facilitation of two to three skills groups for adolescents, adults and/or families weekly. Delivery of other counseling modalities including EMDR, SE, CBT, psychodrama, nurtured heart, sandtray and/or art therapeutic interventions as needed, particularly with stage two clients. Provides diagnostics,crisis intervention, and/or case management services in a high-intensity clinical environment which requires a high degree of independent decision-making and program administration. Provides services to a wide range of populations including families, adolescents, adults and couples.
Master Degree in the field of counseling or social work. Minimum of three years experience in the field. Experience/interest in treating mood disorders and personality disorders. Independent licensure required.
Training and experience in the delivery of DBT and/or a willingness to complete intensive training ( paid by Awake and Aware, LLC) and make a minimum of a three year commitment as part of hire.
Experience with adolescents and families
Experience working effectively as part of a team
Interest/commitment to a daily mindfulness or meditative practice
Experience in Eating disorders a plus
This position is a full time salaried position with benefits. Part time position possible as well. Pay is commensurate with experience.
