Typical day is nothing without interacting with the residents. Different kind of concerns were raised to the management office. Apart from addressing unit concerns, you must be able to address all issues concerning the building itself, from equipment maintenance, security and housekeeping. You need to be on top of all the concerns.
I learned that you must really be patient with this kind of job and you must really be able to know how to cope and release stress to be able to function well. Also, I learn to dwell form different kind of personalities of a person and learn for your staff too. It's not always that you are the boss, sometimes you need to listen from your workers point of view to be able to understand how they work.
The management itself is good. Ayala knows how to provide training to improve your skills. The experience itself is a good teacher for this kind of work because even though you think you know it all, its still not unless you experience the situation itself.
Co-workers are very good. You will learn from each others experiences and help each other in your crucial time. They are readily available to give you support and backup if you need it too.
The hardest part of the job is how you cope with the job itself. Being able to understand the way people think and being strong to be able to address all the issues needed to resolve.
At the end of the day, its really enjoyable to see that your work is being appreciated, not just by your boss but the people you are serving to. Outings and gatherings, sports and chance to grow not just your mental capabilities but your whole personality as well.
