In a typical day, employees help unload boxes of delivery trucks that show up daily. The boxes then are sorted by type, clothing, general merchandise, or trade. After all the boxes are off the delivery truck we scan them into our system using a handheld scanner. The scan provides us with a tracking number in which we then write on the box. Once all boxes are scanned they're taken to their perspective stations where they were opened, cross verified with both the purchase order and the packing slip. After accounting for all the items, the items were then checked into the system as received.
