We are an online publisher of a fast growing, outdoor/sportsman oriented website looking for the right candidate to lead our sales charge. We have small, agile and aggressive team looking for the right Sales Director to take our business to the next level.

The correct candidate will leverage their digital ad sales experience to grow our advertiser base beyond our strong existing endemic portfolio. This will include heavy prospecting and executive cold-calling on advertising agencies and major brands. This person must be driven, aggressive, resourceful and enjoy working with a small, entrepreneurial team. The position requires superior sales, communication, organization and management skills as well as a passion for developing and maintain relationships with a strong understanding of digital media.


  • Develop strategic plan to increase revenue with current advertisers and expand sales to agency clientele.
  • Book sales appointments, make sales presentations, close deals and increase revenue.
  • Consistently hit the sales goals of a fast growing publisher.
  • Aggressively expand client/advertising agency opportunities with detailed attention to client service.
  • Effectively communicate BD Outdoors value proposition, advertising products, and partner relationships to current and prospective advertisers.
  • Understand client's goals and develop strategic proposals using our suite of marketing tools to meet these goals.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3-5 years digital ad sales experience.
  • Ability to drive the sales process from plan to close—including advertiser identification, relationship building, and closing.
  • A strong grasp of the digital media industry including developing innovative new products and opportunities for advertising partners.
  • Ability to interact with a broad set of written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong consultative sales skills, personable, charismatic.
  • Teamwork skills essential; sense of humor required.
  • Ability to hit the ground running and close deals quickly.
  • A passion for the outdoors and outdoor sports is a plus.
  • Experience with a men’s digital property and agency relationships are a huge plus.
