BEST WESTERN PLUS Evergreen Inn & Suites, Federal Way, Washington, is looking for a goal driven, highly organized and self-motivated Sales Manager. This candidate will be focused on securing new business for our full service hotel. This person will be involved with maximizing hotel occupancy and revenue by building relationships with Corporate Clients, key Travel Coordinators, area venues and SMERF Groups.
- Achieve and exceed budgeted room nights and revenue goals quarterly.
- Respond to requests for proposals from various sources.
- Solicit and book group room blocks for outside clients.
- Coordinate and participate in periodic outside sales blitzes to solicit new clients
- Respond in timely manner to all new inquiries for outside groups seeking overnight rooms.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and telephone etiquette. Enjoy working with the public and provide pleasant and efficient atmosphere for associates and guests.
- Be committed to on-going training of associates in all aspects of hotel service standards.
- Must have clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum 2-3 years of proactive hotel sales experience
- Excellent Communication Skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Decision making, time management and negotiation skills to manage prospective and existing accounts
- Ability to prioritize, lead by example, work under pressure and as part of a team
- Ability to identify new business opportunities and develop and expand accounts
- Able to complete delegated tasks in a timely manner

Must have a current driver's license with a satisfactory motor vehicle record and use of a vehicle which is insured and maintained in good condition. Some travel may be required.
