Perform mechanical and visual inspection of electronics products, sub-assemblies and raw components.
Inspect printed circuit boards (PCB), electromechanical assemblies, cables and components according to specifications. Responsibilities include handling of electronics materials, reading assembly drawings and schematics, understanding bill of materials, skilled inspection of products, ability to follow procedural documentation and strict adherence to quality standards and procedures.
Read bill of materials and assembly drawing to identify components and material
Identify, inspect, measure and approve electronics parts, assemblies and products
Perform visual inspection of printed circuit boards PCBs, electronics components, caps, resistors, etc. Perform visual and mechanical inspection of subassemblies, cables, and final products
Inspect brackets, frames, cables, connectors, and assorted products
Identify non-compliant components and materials
Collect data and log inspection results
Perform other duties as necessary.
Proficient with Hand tools
Read and understand Mechanical Drawings and Wiring Diagrams
Basic understanding of electronic component relationships
Basic understanding of simple pneumatic systems
Attention to detail
Follows written procedures and oral communications
Compliance with company standards
Strong written communications
Experience, education, training:
High school or Technical School
Previous experience in electronics QC
Must be able to lift 25 lbs
Must type 30+ WPM
Basic knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel required
Knowledge of IPC Standards
