Legal Administrative Assistant, Legal Secretary, or Paralegal

Buc-ee's, a leader in the convenience store industry, is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant, Legal Secretary, or Paralegal with 2 or more years of job related experience in assisting attorneys with legal matters to work in its home offices in Lake Jackson, TX.
This position will be reporting directly to the General Counsel and Associate General Counsel.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 or more years of legal experience working directly with attorneys and must be proficient in Microsoft word, excel, and outlook. Excellent writing, drafting and editing skills are essential and the candidate must have exceptional organizational skills and pay superb attention to details.
This position will be responsible for court filings, helping manage the litigation docket, returning phone calls, and managing schedules, conference calls, appointments, travel, and meetings.
Applicant must be able to organize correspondence and email and respond to requests for information, coordinate activities between different departments and outside parties. Further, Applicant must be willing to learn and perform other job related duties as assigned. Candidate should be able to transcribe, dictate, type and otherwise prepare letters, memos, reports, and other documents.
Other duties may include, but are not limited to: maintain and update files on court records, citations, and other documents; conduct research, prepare and/or file legal briefs and other documents; have the ability to communicate effectively with attorneys and use independent judgment in routine and non-routine situations; must be able to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions; able to plan, organize and prioritize daily assignments and work activities and be capable of working under a minimum degree of stress related to duties that require constant attention to detail and tight deadlines.
