Challenging fun work place, but with lots of stress
Senior Developmental Engineer (Current Employee) –  Dallas, TXJune 12, 2015
Great core of people to work with in an exciting industry.

Highly stressful with decent compensation.

Revolving door that leads to much wasteful time training and loss of knowledge.
Pros
Flexibility and core group of people
Cons
Compensation, unreasonable deadlines

Great place to work!
Positions- lead tech, foreman, technical trainer (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TXJanuary 29, 2014
I held several positions over the years I was with BAF and earned every one of them.

This is a great place to work, benefits are good, pay is excellent and the atmosphere couldn't have been better.

BAF is on the cutting edge of Alternative Fuels Technology and Design. The company was small when I started and when I left was large and prosperous.

Had I not been forced to move out of state, I would still work there.
Pros
great pay, cutting edge technology
Cons
long hours

exciting field, each day is different.
Service and Training Manager/Safety Officer (Current Employee) –  Dallas, TXOctober 9, 2013
Typical day consist of assisting dealerships and repair facilities across the nation with repairs for CNG converted vehicles.
I have learned about Compressed Natural Gas and conversion of vehicles to CNG.
The hardest part of the job is trying to diagnose a vehicle concern thousands of miles away.
The most enjoyable part is being in charge of my own destiny and helping the team grow.
Pros
monday thru friday 8-5
Cons
dealing with calibration issues

Company that was great and then went downhill.
Engineering Technician (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TXJuly 23, 2013
This job was one of the most enjoyable, satisfying jobs I have had to date. I was able to utilize my skills and learn many new skills. However, the instability of the industry and the management of the company as a whole made it difficult to work an entire year without a layoff of at least two to three weeks. In four years I was laid off four times for between two weeks and three months at a time. At any time any of the employees that were higher up on the pay scale could be laid off or let go with no warning because of the financial shortcomings of the company.
Pros
fun work environment. lots of room to learn and grow.
Cons
the bottom could drop out (and did) at any moment.

Lead Production Technician (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TXJanuary 29, 2013
A typical day at work was very easy going. I learned everything I know about CNG conversion from this company. Management was very good. Co-workers were the best you could have ever ask for. The hardest part of the job was the first two weeks with all the fabrication of vehicle made your body sore. The most enjoyable part of the job were the Christmas parties, they were the best.
Pros
great benefits
Cons
short breaks
