The Palo Alto office of Baker Botts L.L.P. is currently seeking a records specialist to organize and maintain physical and electronic legal files and documents. Qualified applicants must have an aptitude for detail with excellent organization and communication skills. Qualified applicants must be reliable, highly organized, punctual, able to work individually and in a team environment, and demonstrate initiative and follow through.

A high school diploma is required, an associates degree or higher is preferred. Prior law firm, iManage and LegalKEY experience is preferred. Duties include 1.) ensuring the accurate and timely creation, maintenance, circulation/tracking and disposition of client/matter files utilizing the firm’s automated records management system (RM system); 2.) maintaining neat and orderly physical records centers to ensure files are easily located and readily accessible to lawyers and staff; 3.) providing basic functional support to end users of the RM system; and 4.) working on special projects as assigned by supervisors. Applicants must be able to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 lbs and work overtime as needed.
