I started as a staff. It was a good job for school, flexible hours when requested in time. and a great feeling of being needed by the residents we worked with.
Pros

Must care more about children than money
Mental Health Specialist (Current Employee) –  Lackawanna, NYApril 13, 2016
Great job if your intentions are for the children. A lot of hard work and you must put up with quite a bit. It can become taxing on your body and the physical intervention is no fun at all. It can also be very rewarding to know that you are helping a child out. You form bonds with children that they will always remember but it's hard. Employees should get paid more and it is easy to become worn out. The actual job is different from the job description provided.
