A typical day of work at Balfour Beatty is coming in and taking care of problems that came up over night and cleaning up whatever the oncall technitian left behind. In the three years I have been employed here I learned lots of computer programs, technical info., and maintainence experiance. My co-workers work hard but take alot of advantages for granted – more... instead of respecting them. days are typically long hours 10-12 and some weekend work is required. this is an ever changing industry requiring continuous growth. I am not a micro manager and have always surrounded my self with good people making everyone's life easier. Our goals and expectations are always clearly understood by all. Very interesting work place altho was dangerous was a very interesting environment where i could learn more every day.

it was fun working for balfour beatty because everone at work was highly motivated.

. I worked between different departments, patient feeding, restaurant and Costa bar. Doing this has learned me better time mangament skills and fantastic customer/people skills.
The management i found were fine on a one to one basis but in my opinion their group decisions were badly made and costly to the business.

Health & Safety in the forefront of the company with High expectations on accident reduction, monitoring and improvement.

I helped to keep things tidy & organise equipment so peoples work went smoothly.

summary says it all, Very busy from dad to day I was self taught on all areas with little guidance. Management were there for you every day if needed they have an open door policy. I believe that this is a good thing and their support in your choices are strong as they encourage this. Every employee is friendly even though it gets very busy. Balfour Beatty is company known all over the world and i'm sure it has well ran departments, however the utilities division is not one of them.
