Pros: off for the summer
Cons: no benefits, pay scale is insufficient, underappreciated
A typical day at work would be taking attendance, tending to the pre-schooler's needs, check off homework, and assisting in teaching.
When I was a substitute teacher, a typical day was following the schedule left by the teacher I was covering for. The younger children were awesome to work with.
