Productive and great place to work
Customer Service Relations (Former Employee), Grove City, OH –
Pros: great team, fast paced
Cons: closed early.
When working with the company I had many online training days which helped prep me for my soon to be part in running the front desk. I got to know the customers very well, even by name when I saw their pet and their face. The management team was out of this world amazing, they had such great communication skills. Our team of co-workers was the best – more...  team I had ever worked with in my life. Everyone knew how to work with other personalities and how to handle each other, but when it came down to the long run, everyone was a team. If someone needed something and couldn't get it at the time (like a medical tool) then someone would kindly get it for them to help. The hardest part of my job was saying goodbye due to getting a better job offer with a higer pay and more hours. I loved banfield, It was like my second home. I enjoyed most about my job was making all the memories I did and everything that I had learned to take with me to a new job. – less

Excellent, fast-paced environment....minus proper pet care
Registered Veterinary Technician (Current Employee), Cary, NC –
Pros: fast paced environment, need for multitasking, employees
Cons: never enough supplies, inadequate equipment, poor management (beyond clinical setting), money
Money, money, money. That is the only concern of this clinic. I have worked in veterinary medicine for many years and have really feared losing patients due to lack of supplies, improper scheduling, and inadequate equipment.

large workload with little time
Client Service Coordinator I (Former Employee), Carmel, IN –
Pros: long- three day work weeks
Cons: poor management, politics got in the way
I greatly enjoyed learning new skills and challenging myself to work faster but after months of the grind with no improvements (I somewhat disagree but management saw little to no improvements). With unproductive conversations I was unable to meet their standards and left feeling quite frustrated but overall grateful for the opportunity.

Will leave you with a putrid taste in your mouth
Office Manager (Former Employee), Mira Loma, CA –
This organization's culture is tainted. It may appear they love the pets and are interested in the well being of the staff. They are more concerned about how much money they can charge each client, they hire new graduate doctors that have no experience and do not have the best skills to practice medicine. You would think having employed countless vets – more...  they would have great benefits but they are not. You may be paying a lot out of pocket for any medical expenses you have. – less

Drives the good ones out
all the same (Current Employee), all the same –
Pros: continuing education, hospital provided
Cons: quality of staff, workplace culture
The culture of this corporation is produce, produce, produce. Don't fall for the "quality of care" talk you will get at first. It boils down to how much you can produce each day, how much you were able to charge each client (Average Patient Cost), and how fast you work. Never see any interest in patient outcomes or client satisfaction surveys. Can easy – more...  turn a DVM into a 'used car salesman' (no offense). Just really disheartening to feel like the career you love has been reduced to this. No wonder most clients leave after 2.3 years - as soon as anything serious happens the model doesn't allow for extra time and effort to be allotted. Clients leave to find more dedicated staff and system. – less
