Very pushy sales, tons of micro-managing
Relationship Manager (Current Employee) – NY – September 30, 2015
Very pushy aggressive sales atmosphere, under the guise of "helping the customer". Every single thing you do during the day is tracked measured and put out in a report to most everyone daily. This includes the normal things you'd expect, like sales or overall numbers. But, it also includes how many phone calls you made, how many emails you sent, etc. The demand to get products and partner referrals is so high that I regularly see people pushing products or referrals even when the client has expressed disinterest, but hasn't stood up and just walked away. If you help a client and you do not get a sale, they will review, role play and coach that scenario. It is not the right environment for me. In my opinion not every needs multiple credit cards (even of the same type), not everyone needs additional accounts so I can hit my numbers, and not everyone needs to speak to a specialist about loans or investments. If you do not like aggressive, pushy sales this may not be the job for you.
