Training Sites
The Memphis health care community is one of the largest and most diversified in the nation, with eight major hospitals providing world-class care. For example, the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy is ranked 12th in the nation among "America's Best Colleges for Pharmacy" by U.S. News and World Report. The Baptist pharmacy residency program is affiliated with the medical/surgical training programs at the University of Tennessee-Memphis.

There are five Baptist hospitals in the Memphis Metro area-- Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis, Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women, Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto, Baptist Memorial Restorative Care Hospital, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville and Baptist Rehabilitation Hospital-Germantown. Baptist Memphis and the Baptist Women's Hospital provide comprehensive inpatient services and serve as tertiary referral centers for Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee. In addition to general medicine, surgery, pediatrics, neonatology and obstetrical services, an extensive array of medical specialties are represented. Specialty services include intensive care, cardiology, neurosurgery and oncology.

Baptist's Department of Pharmacy Services uses integrated technology for medication distribution to allow pharmacists a more patient-focused practice. In addition to the Pharmacy Practice Residency Program, the department provides institutional and clinical training for pharmacy students from the University of Tennessee and the University of Mississippi. – lessMore from ZoomInfo »
