Safety Officer, San Angelo, TX - May 6, 2016
You will lock up buildings, patrol the campus a few times, and answer a call every now and then. Now the calls are the hardest part of the job because they can literally range from anything and you have to try and help these people. It is not a hard job though. Overnight shifts are boring but you have a computer to pass the time. Co-workers are really cool. Everyone including management is really understanding and as long as you do your job you will get along. Everyone is really nice. When I made this we were understaffed so I work 60+ hours a week. Since the job is light work the hardest part is staying awake when you have your third double in a row. The boss is really understanding and will help you out if you need a day off or an emergency comes up and you need to leave. You work mostly unsupervised so you're on your own the whole shift. Do not expect to be promoted anywhere though. You will be doing the same thing for years and years. Great career if your nearing retirement and looking for something easy for a little extra money. Paycheck isn't anything extraordinary. Nice co-workers, mostly nice elderly residents, nice management.
