The Web Programmer is responsible for creating, maintaining and upgrading software applications for the University in order to support its marketing, communications, recruiting and retention initiatives.
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain current and new web applications.
Participation in full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis and design. Will work closely with technical, design and product management teams.
Analyze and design technical solutions for complex business requirements.
Design and construct components using .NET framework and SQL Server.
Bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years related experience required
6 to 8 years of experience of which 3 must be in software development required
2 + years of .NET architecture experience
2 + years of SQL Server experience with proficiency in T-SQL and stored procedures
Strong experience with relational and multidimensional databases
Ability to work individually or in a small team environment
Working knowledge of mobile platforms such as iOS and Android
Creativity towards thinking through user scenarios
Ability to handle several projects simultaneously
Experience optimizing high-traffic web sites
Familiar with legacy browser compatibility issues and modern browser capabilities
Knowledge of HTML5
Experience creating wireframes, story boards, mockups
Contributor to a major Java UI framework
