A typical day at work involves answering phones from consumers who are without power or are disconnected. You hear a million reasons why people don't pay their bills. Management and co-workers are very good. The most difficult part of the job is when inclement weather occurs knocking out power. Phones ring constantly. Sometimes for hours. I an 8-hour – more... shift I have fielded as many as 200-calls. The most satisfying part of the job comes when you know you have helped someone. At times when consumers think they are going through a power outage, you walk them thru a series of steps and eventually power is restored without having to call out a line crew. – less
