Far from a dream job!
Administrative (Current Employee), HDQJuly 20, 2014
Cons: if you aren't a "name" in the company, you are overlooked and treated poorly.
If you can tolerate office politics x100 and favoritism, then this is the place you want to be. Can't express much good about it other then it's a paycheck.

I takes a very special type off person to deal with many dozens on calls daily And how to deal with many personalities.
Call Center Representative (Current Employee), Bismarck, NDJuly 12, 2013
Pros: timely pay raises.
Cons: when busy, not enough time to eat.
A typical day at work involves answering phones from consumers who are without power or are disconnected. You hear a million reasons why people don't pay their bills. Management and co-workers are very good. The most difficult part of the job is when inclement weather occurs knocking out power. Phones ring constantly. Sometimes for hours. I an 8-hour shift I have fielded as many as 200-calls. The most satisfying part of the job comes when you know you have helped someone. At times when consumers think they are going through a power outage, you walk them thru a series of steps and eventually power is restored without having to call out a line crew.
