The Support Specialist position at Bass Security Services, Inc. is of vital importance to the success and growth of our company. As a member, you are required to join a team of professional IT personnel that handle and troubleshoot issues at an extremely high level of competency. The Support Specialist is an on-call position.
Description
Duties that pertain to Tier 1 Service Desk
o Provide support in the areas of PC hardware and software issues, scanners, printers, e-mail (Microsoft Exchange), Blackberries, ERP System (MS Dynamics GP) and MS applications and specialized software where required
o Setup and deployment of new PC’s.
o Proficient with VoIP setup.
o Troubleshoot user issues.
o Active Directory experience.
o Basic networking skills. Experience with switches and routers preferred.
o SQL experience.
o Respond to Help Desk Service Requests for any Tier 1 issues.
o Document all details pertaining to the Service Request.
o Communicate with all levels of personnel within the organization.
Work Environment
o Weekends and nights may be required
o Typical office environment requiring the ability to sit for long periods of time while working on a computer and talking on the phone.
o Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
Requirements
Preferred Skills
o 3+ years of desktop support experience required.
o Ability to analyze and troubleshoot a wide range of issues and coordinate referrals to the appropriate technical resources
o Excellent multi-tasking skills
o Ability to work well in a Team setting
o Ability to communicate with others
o Ability to document everything that happens on a service call request
o Demonstrated problem solving abilities.
o Excellent verbal and written skills
o Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policies preferred
Qualifications
o Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
o A+ & Net+ Certification preferred
o Must be a self-starter and have the ability to take ownership of an issue
o Must have a general understanding of information systems with the ability to apply knowledge, as well as recognize, research and resolve basic IT related problems
o Excellent Customer Service skills
o Proficient in the use of Microsoft XP and Windows 7
o Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
