Sales Associate (Former Employee), Birch Run, MI – November 5, 2013
I really enjoyed working with my entire team from managers to associates to seasonal associates. We all bonded together well. I learned most of my experience as a customer service rep from this place. On a daily basis we worked with a variety of customers because this was an outlet based store. To this day we all get together and reminisce because we – more... all have moved on to new jobs. The hardest part about this job was learning how to take inventory at the offsite store but after 2 times it became easy. The most enjoyable part of this job was all my co-workers i got to meet and how you could accel in any position of the company. – less

.Help costumers fins products , stock shelves .Team work makes everything move swiftly .management was there when ever you needed extra help . friendly and very willing to help .The hardest part of the job was dealing with costumers who had very bad attitudes .The most enjoyable part was helping a costumer and putting a smile on their face even if they – more... came inside the store with a bad mood – less
Store Manager (Former Employee), Fort Wayne, Indiana – March 8, 2014
Pros: job responsibilities, team, product
Cons: long holiday hours, schedule
A typical day at work involved coaching/developing, assessing staffing needs, customer engagement, operational duties, payroll etc.
I learned how to run a store on my own. In this position I was solely responsible for all aspects of the business.
I had a great staff. My co-workers were passionate about the customers and Brand.
The hardest part of – more... my job was managing work/life balance. I often would work every day. If a manger called off I would have to cover their shift, and it required most weekends.
The most enjoyable part of my job was my staff, the products we sold and I enjoyed my responsibilities. However, the lack of a consistent schedule and long hours during the holiday (holiday planning started in June and went until a month after Christmas) caused me to look for other opportunities. – less
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Waldorf, MD – March 7, 2014
Informed of the sales for the season, assist customers with merchandise. It was my first time being exposed to the different types of people I had to work with as well as customers that I had to assist. A lot of my co-workers had more than one job while this was my first and only job. The hardest part was the long hours and little pay. It was during – more... the holiday season so it was a cheerful atmosphere. – less
Sales Representative (Former Employee), Amarillo, TX – March 6, 2014
Cons: no cons
I would occasionally open at 9 am and get things ready. My shift would usually start at 3pm and it would already be busy. In the process i would learn where every thing goes when restocking. There were so many of us working around the holidays so i would briefly speak about their day or where a product is. Good management. The hardest part is telling – more... the customer we are out of a product and they would react in different ways. The enjoyable part was seeing them leave happy. – less

Sales Associate (Former Employee), Enfield, CT – March 5, 2014
Never had a lot to do. The only thing was to refill the walls with more product, make sure the customer was happy with what she picked out and floor-sets every couple of weeks. The team I worked with was awesome! Made some good friends from there, who I still talk to. The only hard part about the job was trying to remember the ingredients in the products.
Associate (Former Employee), Greenwood, SC – March 4, 2014
Pros: store smells great. great seasonal fragrances.
Cons: the store...smells. too much..it was hard to put up with for 4-8 hours at a time.
My experience with B&BW was mixed. Management seemed to have more problems than solutions and just couldn't seem to fluidly run the store. I loved the customers and the products, but my coworkers were less than favorable. The management was also shaky, very young. The most enjoyable part of the job was doing it. Simply put. I loved going into work, – more... putting on a manly pink apron, and doing my job. – less
Creating a personable, fun and knowledgeable time for each customer
Sales Associate (Current Employee), Cerritos, CA – March 3, 2014
Pros: meeting new people, team building, learning new ways to approach customers
Cons: inconsistent shifts
A typical day at work consists of welcoming customers to try on our products and see what it is that they or whom they are shopping for. This includes but is not limited to knowing about each and every product and the benefits of them. Team selling is also incorporated. Once and or twice a month we execute merchandise sets. This is where we recreate – more... a new floor plan that has new products and also tells a story, to attract new customers, and keep our dedicated and returning customers intrigued. Every year I have worked here, we have had a different manager. The co workers are a fun bunch who are dedicated to making the most out of their shift by creating an exciting and upbeat environment. The hardest part of the job would be the inconsistent shifts, and the most enjoyable part of the job would be seeing customers truly enjoying our products and returning to see whats new. – less
A typical day started in the stock room where I would clock, then I would place my bag in the locker.Following that I would look at the floor plan, and listen to the team message. Next I would place my apron and name tag on, then follow my directions to where I was directed to be in the store. My experience at Bath and Body Works helped me fine tune – more... my customer services skills, sales, ( incentives), when to approach a customer, how to engage with a customer, as well as how to know you have made a sale, before they have purchased. The hardest part of the job remembering all the fragrances, some were seasonal. It was a touch confusing at first. The Management was great they were a great bunch of women very kind, friendly, and I have nothing but good things to say about them. The same goes for my co workers, I loved working there. I never really worked with the same set of girls. The girls I did work with on a normal basis we exchanged numbers outside of work. Although due to work flow, areas we usually did not talk very much unless it involved teamwork or break. The most enjoyable part of my job was I meeting new people, as well as satisfying a customer. I always like to push my self to do the best, so I always wanted to increase sales. If we had a goal, or a competition I wanted us to win. I would do my best, so that we could get that accomplished. – less

I love being a sales associate my team was great and we always uplifted each other throughout the day. providing customer service was also fun because it was always a different approach to each person.
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Garland, TX – March 1, 2014
Pros: relaxing scents throughout store, very kind customers & coworkers, organized & easy to find inventory
Cons: no breaks, no benefits, zero to low hours, no fixed work schedule
For the Bath & Body Works store located in the Firewheel Mall in Garland. A typical day at work is very enjoyable! The whole store smells fabulous & I feel no stress what-so-ever when working. I already a little about the art of perfume making but here you discover different scents that will compliment each other. Honestly the hardest part of the job – more... is just trying to get hours in since there's already three full-time managers there & the other employees are [unequally] given the remaining. My favorite part of the job is communicating with customers & helping them find the perfect item just for them! Not to mention all the customers are very nice! – less
