Assistant Manager, Connecticut - May 1, 2016
This franchise is independently owned, so every store is very different. I have the best boss in the world. We all became a little family. The job isn't "difficult" but there is a lot to know, especially with the product and what the customer needs vs what they think they need. In this job, the customer isn't always right and picking the wrong thing for them can be detrimental. As an assistant manager and the head device repair technician, I need to know pretty much everything that goes on, and if you aren't mechanically inclined you might struggle. The computer systems are easy to learn if you are just a regular associate. You HAVE to be a patient person who is easily trained and can adjust to change, because corporate comes out with something new every few months. The hardest part of the job would probably be learning all of the endless information and dealing with difficult customers, but I couldn't have asked for a better first job and I love the feeling i get when people compliment how impressed they are with all the knowledge I have.
