Bay Systems provided a software engineering effort and the programming support required to technically support software implementation in systems, sub-systems, and components utilizing Naval computers. We provided this support to SPAWAR where Bay Systems renewed the subscriptions for and installed Blue Coat renewal software and secure computing SmartFilters – more... at the US Navy SPAWAR Systems Center, North Charleston, SC. Bay Systems also provided a Network Access Storage and data protection solution to Air Education and Training Command at Randolph AFB. This is another Air Force contract with high relevance for this functional area in the area of Network Support to the modification of existing hardware and software systems. BSC installed of a centralized storage and disk-to-disk back-up system for the medical facilities at Laughlin and Sheppard Air Force Bases. We provided each facility with systems capable of scaling to a full Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) environment which was also able to replicate data to the Air Force Air Education And Training Command/Computer Services' (AETC/SC) base storage platforms (ATA disk storage system) at Randolph AFB for disk-to-disk back up and storage outside of each medical facility. The replication software installed ran on the storage system itself, not on a Host unit, which is a very unique setup. The data environment in each of the two facilities (Laughlin and Sheppard) had grown out of many years of programs placing applications in a stovepipe methodology (retrieval of filtered information from disconnected sources lacking context).
