This was the first fun job. Though there was more to be done, the joy of having something to do without complaining was spectacular.

Reasonable company to work for.....but will struggle as healthcare ungergoes major changes
Global Director (various roles within Bayer) (Current Employee), Tarrytown, NY –
Is becoming more and more German centric for the shared functions. Somewhat political, but less than you might expect for such a large organization. Good culture, good pay/benefits. Has a tendency to make things more complicated than needs to be......making it difficult to get things accomplished. Will struggle as healthcare changes in the coming years.

Flexible environment with great learning opportunities and management
Data Center Infrastructure Specialist (Current Employee), Pittsburgh, Pa –
Pros: flexible hours, low stress environment, 7-4 workday, great collaboration with colleagues and vendors
Cons: contracted work, low pay and minimal benefits.
During my 5 years here at Bayer as a contractor I've been encouraged and empowered to come up with new projects, develop and learn new technologies, participate in vendor related functions, and drive the up time of the North American Data Center. I have certainly learned a lot during my time here. I consider it a major building block in my career for – more...  the future, so much that I've changed the direction of my formal education to an Engineering discipline. – less

Would not work for this company again
Operations Specialist (Former Employee), Turkey Creek Knoxville, TN –
Pros: hour lunch
Cons: trust issue
I have many reason to not work for this company. The company is poorly managed and makes bad decisions for their employee's. The company doesn't care about their employee's and doesn't believe in teamwork. All the company cares about is making money and not the people who makes it for them.

look elsewhere
buyer (Former Employee), emeryville –
Pros: if you are desperate for a job
Cons: managers
All that glitters is not gold. This is all smoke and mirrors. The facility will be closing this year. They never informed the employees until they could no longer deny it, plus they don't even give their employees a nice compensation, that is why everyone at Bayer is leaving and looking for work elsewhere.
