Silverhill Financial, a division of Bayview Asset Management, was a small balance commercial lender founded by the BAM leadership. The business closed down due to economic conditions within the mortgage lending space.
Company tries to incentivate employees productivity
Senior Closing Administrator (Former Employee) – Fort Lauderdale, FL – October 26, 2015
Unbalanced quality of employees, some work hard and produce, others not so much; management misses on it. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Great place to work at. It is a very fast paced environment so do not recommend for people who cannot keep up. Have to be very detail oriented since working with numbers. Everyone is extremely nice. Great co-workers.
Great for recent grad or professional without a family
Asset Manager (Former Employee) – Ft. Washington, PA – August 27, 2015
Excellent pay, benefits and advancement. Must dedicate all of your life to job and there is zero flexibility for family. Co-workers are fun and driven, you will learn a lot. Perfect company for recent grad or professional without a family.
Underskilled Management, No flexibility, long hours with weekends, salary treated as hourly
They have the best benefits package that I have seen. Executive management is making an effort in making this a great place to work. Lower/middle management need to be overhauled; a majority are still in the old way bayview conducted business when they were a much smaller organization. Fraternization, poor office conduct and decisions are not based on an employees job performance but on personal preferences.
Business Intelligence Analyst (Current Employee) – Coral Gables, FL – June 27, 2015
The work environment is great for production. The managers do not micromanage and entrust their employees to complete their responsibilities within their deadlines. This type of environment has worked for me, and it is a great balance to have at this position.
Due Diligence Underwriter (Former Employee) – Coral Gables, FL – June 15, 2015
I was employed for 11yrs before Bayview had to layoff several hundred employees. I have worked as a Financial Analyst for 1 years, then Bank Foreclosure specialist for 2 yrs, then Loss-Mitagation manager for 2 years, Commerical Loan specialist for 2 yrs, Production manager for 2 yrs, Underwriting analyst for 2 yrs.
Good support staff, excellent benefits, and compensation structure
Love the perks the company provides such as discount websites, discounts on your cell phone bill,e tc. Also, I appreciate the out of toen training opportuities I have been sent to, I have learned alot from it. I must admit the Hurst office runs a little different than the main office in Miami. It seems more difficult to move into management in this Hurst office even if you are qualified. Other lan that I have no other complaints about this company.
Employee (Current Employee) – Florida – April 4, 2015
Started in 2009 and received the opportunity to work in several departments over the course of 5 years. Experienced my share of the best and the worst managers. Managers who are in tune with their team and those who just seem to show preference to certain team members. The compensation is not bad. Semi-relaxed culture, but too many unprofessional individuals in my opinion.
Competitive atmosphere. A lot of pressure towards the end of the month. Due to the high volume of work some managers can be very strict. However, the people are good to work with. Very fast paced. However they have good discounts and good insurance coverage.
the coral gables office is attached to Merrick Village Mall
