Great place to work with excellent benefits
Administrative Support (Current Employee) –  Castro Valley, CAFebruary 27, 2017
I've always gravitated towards non-profit agencies and I like the fact that Baywood is a non-profit (in business for over 25 years). Although there are some minor things to be improved upon, I enjoy working with the diverse group of employees and residents. I feel like there could be more training and development opportunities for staff but do see that management likes to promote staff from within as much as possible when a position opens up.

Baywood does have a great benefits package; a full time employee earns up to four weeks of paid time off in first year! That speaks volumes (and management does encourage staff to use it as well, promoting a work/life balance).

The employees who work here strive each day to make the residents and their families who live here feel important and cared for. At the end of each day, this is what it's all about.
Pros
work/life balance, great benefits, safe place to work
Cons
health industry is very compliance driven and can be difficult to keep up with daily work

Certified Nursing Assistant (Current Employee) –  Castro Valley, CAApril 15, 2014
The best part of working at Baywood Court was getting the satisfaction of knowing I helped someone. Mostly every day at work i assisted with the residents daily living, and gave them meals.Co-workers were very respectful people and we learned to work as a team.
