Structured and Micromanaged
Corporate Travel Consultant (Current Employee), Peachtree City, GA – February 18, 2013
Pros: benefits, occasional free lunches, structure
Cons: management, pay, advancement
Great benefits but less than average pay. Management is inept and not supportive. Great ability to learn as much as you can handle on your own time with the online courses available. Vendor visits are a huge plus.

Financial Analyst (Current Employee), Atlanta, GA – January 27, 2013
Pros: a flexible enviroment that allows free thinking
Cons: a small department with limited resources and growth opporunities
My day consists of daily reports involving pulling data from several sources for a daily and monthly look of vendor revenue. Supporting managers, directors, and other depts with adhoc task. As well as maintaining vendor databases that build trending and forecast models. Reviewing contract accompliance as payment are recieved that reflect terms of deal.

The teamwork is excellent everybody working together to achieve a common goal.
Travel Consultant/Customer Service (Former Employee), Jacksonville, FL – July 23, 2012
Pros: free food from hotel vendors
Cons: health care too expensive
Its all business everyone is caring and professional. I learned about working together, interacting with people, and being independent yet interdependent. Management is always around if you need them. Everyone knows their place. The coworkers are hard working and get along well with one another.
It's when weather is bad and it affects travel so everyone – more... needs to make sure the clients are satisfied. They reach their destination despite the weather. Just being their feeling a sense of belonging. – less

BCD Travel is among the leading corporate travel agencies in the world
Virtual Corporate Agent for FTI Consulting (Current Employee), Cleveland, OH – July 2, 2012
Pros: good benefits and pay
Cons: management team support and communication poor.
I do like working for BCD Travel overall. I have great co-workers and our team work is excellent. However, the support we receive from our management team is questionable.

I am looking for a similar postion where I can possibly advance, feel I am an asset to my team and also be a part of a more secure position.

I enjoy working with the clients and – more... make sure I provide excellent customer service and communication. With my experience, I fully understand travel industry policies.

Currently, our team works on rotating shifts. I would like to work more of a "set" schedule, if possible. – less

Work, Work and 30 min of fun
Debtors Controllor (Former Employee), Durban Center – January 31, 2013
Pros: free stuff
Cons: no leave
I was the first one at work, so you can say that I start work as soon as the doors are open. Before 8am I do as much of the previous days work before I start a new day. Checking on clients invoice to see that the amounts are correct, vat and billing, the send any that have to go out. Handle clients queries and update management on progress, and if I – more... am not successful ask my Manager for assistance. Log a call to the IT department regarding tickets that has not pull through onto my computer, or follow-up if IT department did not loaded the ticket range, and then capture the tickets onto my software.

I learned to keep up in a fast pace environment, to deal with clients professionally and to be wise in all I say and do, or it can come back to haunt you.

My manager was a great boss to work with, he was ever so ready to help and advise us to get out the travel industry. He always asked for more of our time.

Co-workers was jealous of the other departments benefits. Always busy because off the heavy loads.

The best part of the job is the free stuff we got from the suppliers.

I enjoyed the fact that I was always improving at what I was doing and growing within myself, as a person and a employee. – less

It was fun working in the company with co workers from diffrent places,

Every Day it was a New Day for me @work

I Learned a lot from the Managment and co workers

The hardest part of the Job if we dont get apprication from the seniors and the Managment when the given Task is done on time without any esculations. The Enjoyable part is Appricated by – more... the client and the seniors and the Managment/ – less
