You can hear the roar of the MGM lion in Biloxi, Mississippi, thanks to the Beau Rivage Resort. The operation boasts a 32-story hotel with some 1,700 rooms, a spa and salon, 12 restaurants, 12 boutiques and shops, and a theatre for live entertainment. The nearby 18-hole golf course, the Fallen Oak, was built exclusively for Beau Rivage guests. Oh, and don't forget the 85,000-square-foot casino, with its 93 table games, 2,100 slot machines, 230 video-poker games, and a high-roller salon with 10 blackjack tables. Beau Rivage Resorts is a subsidiary of MGM Resorts International.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, which surged through in August 2005, Beau Rivage underwent renovations worth some $550 million. It re-opened in August 2006 after an extensive post-Katrina re-modeling.
