Site Trend Engineer (Former Employee), domestic or international position – October 14, 2013
Bechtel is a good company, If you like challenges and travel around the U.S or international countries. Bechtel looks for their employees to grow in knowledge for themselves and the company. The work place is fun at times but a lot of work to get done. A good company to grow with.
(CM) Manager/Hardware Assessment Review (HAR) Lead (Former Employee), Huntsville, AL – October 2, 2013
Pros: great work enviornment, benefits, co workers, work
Cons: moving to stay employed with bni
I would highly recommend Bechtel - they are very aggressive in pushing their employees to produce high quality work and move up in the ranks. Only drawback is the work/life balance - there is a lot of moving required if you want to stay with them for the long term.

Contracts Manager (Current Employee), Frederick MD – September 10, 2013
Pros: well known and respected company worldwide
Cons: if you aren't willing to relocate, you're not going anywhere, so to speak
Contract formation and development to support emerging needs on nuclear projects, invoice processing; development of change orders for existing contracts. Have learned thatyou have to treat people with the attention and respect that you expect- and that includes contractors. Most enjoyable part of work is sealing the contract, resolving problems. Least – more... enjoyable part is dealing with those who don't think the words in the contract matter and have no respect for the contractors. – less

Buyer (Former Employee), Richland, WA – August 16, 2013
If you want to move up in this company be prepared to move at a moments notice, with or without your family. THere is also a lot of nepotism in Bechtel.Hopefully you know someone when you get a job there
Anonymous (Current Employee), Pueblo, CO – August 11, 2013
Pros: good benefits, different work environment
Cons: often long days, remote locations (can be a positive)
I've always wanted to work for Bechtel, as the work is wildly different than most work environments. With projects across the globe, Bechtel can send you anywhere, or in a lot of cases, you can apply for the job and create your own destiny. It's very common for employees to have relocated 5-10 times in their career. It's not for everyone, but for people – more... like me it's a dream.
That being said, all projects have their quirks which can be both positive and negative. The positive is that an ever changing work environment always keeps you on your toes, but the negative is that employees are often changing, disrupting rhythm. – less

Bechtel is a construction, engineering and project management company. I love working for Bechtel, because they work on Projects that change cities, countries and impacts the world. Working for Bechtel I interact with different people in different functions and from all over the world. Co-workers and management make it a safe and fun place to work for. – more... The hardest part of my job is having to relocated so much. The most enjoyable part is helping people out in their day to day duties. – less
