Manager promised me lot of things before I joined about position and career path and anything you name it, then comes "don't care" mentality. If you bring it to their attention about the promises they made, then management aviods including you for any of the meetings. May be a good place to work for contractors as some of them make money by bringing – more...  few more contractors through their own corp.

Duties: Administered major FFP, CPFF, CPIF, T&M, Letter contracts for research and development, production and services in accordance to the FAR and DFAR. Primary point of contact for internal contractor and external customer on all assigned business and contractual matters. Reviewed and analyzed RFPs for contract risk. Served as consultant to management regarding appropriate exceptions/positions, and conducted negotiation of contracts consistent with organization objectives. Monitored contracts for compliance, maintained all contractual documentation and files, ensured all contractual documentation is concise and consistent both from a technical and contractual perspective. Negotiated prices and executes supplemental agreements for services, spare parts, provisioned items, and repairs. Resolved disagreements between auditor and contractor involving audit determined rates; and negotiated prices for not priced orders under BOAs. Identified and developed solutions to out of scope, cost/schedule changes, ensured company resources are not negatively impacted. Ensured compliance with all customer, company, and regulatory requirements. Facilitated and documented the contract/program closure process. Identified, documented, and managed export compliance efforts, documentation, and licenses. Managed contracts for design, development, facility, and manufacture of a variety of products and services, which encompassed a variety of contract types with special provisions. Audited all proposals and contracts assigned to assure every necessary clause has been included. Reviewed schedules, specifications, material requirements, and pertinent contractual clauses to determine administrative functions to be perform. Met with the contractor and/or participated with the customers in post award conferences to clarify issues or resolve contractual problems. Monitored contractor performance for compliance with applicable Federal Regulations, delivery schedules, payment provisions, and contract data reporting requirements. The ambiance was great, I was there for 3 months only for an internship.

i loved bell helicopter wish i could go back, i worked at several of the facilities.the best job i had was at 5a working inventory.

Bell was mostly a good place to work, Unfortunately the parent company Textron took over almost every facet, and have really caused irreverisible damage at all levels, this is very unfortunate, Bell has great products, had great management, and a highly skilled and competent work force. I truely wish them the best in returning to premier status someday.

If I had to do it again I would not have worked here. Everything you need to get your job done takes forever, managers are not very trusting of their employees starting from the Vice President and below. They never deliver on promises, never give you the recognition but instead take it for themselves. Very poor business ethics, treat employees poorly.

I enjoyed working here and work was not hard, the type of challenge was just what I wanted.

Good job and pay, high risk for layoff due to governmant contractual based work level. Most important aspect was co-workers, not necessarily management.
