Would not recommend to anyone
Merchant/Buyer (Former Employee), Norcross, GAAugust 5, 2014
Cons: poor management creates a hostile work environment
Management is mental. But you get that when there are no checks and balances with a Private Company. Unfortunately, very hostile environment, with lots of turnover in management and high profile positions. Don't be fooled by the high pay, it's just a carrot to get you in. You're not going to like it. Personally witness Management berate employees to – more... the point of crying several times. – less

VP (Former Employee), ATLAugust 2, 2014
Pros: top end of pay scale
Cons: bad management, horrible hours, wandering strategy
Company is a complete trainwreck. Every single senior leader has left except one - all because of the CEO. Great business that is successful despite the conditions. A real head scratcher.

Director of Fulfilment (Current Employee), Memphis, TNFebruary 5, 2014
Pros: not a good experience
Cons: too much turnover
Company appears to be unstable. Turnover is very high. Privately held company that attempts to be competitive. Employees are often treated unfair. Senior management runs the company from the corporate office in Atlanta.

Growth-oriented company demands results while improving culture
Copy Director (Current Employee), Norcross, GADecember 15, 2012
Pros: lots of work = lots of great experience, fun corporate events, amazing people
Cons: lots of work = lots of work, sometimes vague company direction
Benchmark Brands is intently focused on continually hiring the absolute best talent to achieve its ambitous growth strategy. As a result, each and every employee is challenged daily to rise above and beyond better-than-average performance expectations within the confines of their functional roles to impact overall results. This demanding and, at times, – more... intense enviornment is balanced with a corporate culture that strives to offset this steady workflow.

Senior management, including the CEO, is extremely hands on making Benchmark a very flat organization in which employees have the opportunity to regularly influence and participate in key, direction-setting decisions for the organization.

I work with an amazing team that is as talented as their backgrounds are diverse. Together, we work hard, collaborate and innovate to develop creative work that exeeds expectations more often than not ... deadline after deadline. And at the end the day we often have time to challenge one another to game of ping pong, XBox bowling, or share a toast at happy hour.

The organization prides itself on its cat-like agility. As a result, the hardest part of my job (and pretty much everyones') is keeping up and staying ahead of the company's ever-changing strategy. While it's perhaps the biggest challenge, it's also a key reason why the company is as successful as it is.

My favorite part of the job is working with a team who I truly trust, and visa versa. We laugh, we cry, and we get the job done... togther! – less

It's not a good place to work if you have a family. . .
Customer Care Supervisor (Former Employee), Norcross, GAFebruary 27, 2012
Pros: there are always opportunities for advancement.
Cons: upper management sets you up to fail, their managment tools are self-serving.
Benchmark Brands is the type of company that's great for a person without kids because the priority is always calls and customers. . .never the employee.
